Investing Risk & Risk Tolerance

What is Investment Risk?
Though we often associate investment risk with the fear and anxiety we have when investing, investment risk is actually defined as:  the probability or likelihood of occurrence of losses relative to the expected return on any particular investment.
Investment risk is actually then, more mathematical and logical in nature, than it is emotional or psychological.
